YourLife.Shop also subscribes to the principles for electronically collecting personal information outlined in the Act, and the further legislation referred to therein. We endeavour to ensure the quality, accuracy and confidentiality of Personal Information in our possession.

2.5 All payment information will be captured through the Website. Further, YourLife.Shop shall not retain payment information on behalf of its users.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.


2.6 We will not collect, use or disclose sensitive information (such as information about racial or ethnic origins or political or religious beliefs, where relevant) except with your specific consent or in the circumstances permitted by law.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.


2.11 Your information will not be stored for longer than is necessary for the purposes described in these Terms or as required by applicable legislation.


2.12 The Personal Information YourLife.Shop collects from users shall only be accessed by YourLife.Shop employees, representatives and consultants on a need-to-know basis, and subject to reasonable confidentiality obligations binding such persons. Additionally, Yourlife.shop, collects personal information which is shared with Facebook in an effort to serve more relevant ads and improve customer experience. 


2.13 Ratings and Reviews: When you provide a rating or review of a Product, you consent to us using that rating or review as we deem fit, including without limitation on the Website, in newsletters or other marketing material. The name that will appear next to that rating or review is the name you chose to provide. If you want to stay anonymous please use ‘anonymous’ in the name field. If you do not agree to this, please do not put any ratings or reviews on the Website. We will not display your Last Name, nor any of your contact details, with a rating or review.


2.14 YourLife.Shop shall have the right, but shall not be obliged, to monitor or examine any information and materials including any website link that you publish or submit to YourLife.Shop for publishing on the Site. You shall be solely responsible for the contents of all material published by yourself.


2.15 We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our users. We do not accept any users, or representatives of users, under 18 years of age or who otherwise does not have the relevant capacity to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

5.1 Data Messages (as defined in the ECT Act) will be deemed to have been received by YourLife.Shop if and when YourLife.Shop responds to the Data Messages.


5.2 Data Messages sent by YourLife.Shop to a user will be deemed to have been received by such user in terms of the provisions specified in section 23(b) of the ECT Act.


5.3 Users acknowledge that electronic signatures, encryption and/or authentication are not required for valid electronic communications between users and YourLife.Shop.
