Frequently asked questions
Sonic or oscillating — which is better?
Neither is better for everyone. Oscillating heads suit people who already brush that way and want cheaper refills. Sonic suits sensitive gums, crowns and braces, because nothing scrubs in circles. Both beat a manual brush comfortably.
Do Beurer's rotating heads fit an Oral-B handle?
Yes, with two exceptions. Beurer's Clean, Sensitive, Eco Clean and Eco Sensitive heads fit the Beurer TB 15, TB 30 and TB 50 and all commercially available rotating toothbrushes, including all Oral-B toothbrushes except the Oral-B Pulsonic series and the iO series. Those two use a different fitting. If you are on an Oral-B Pro, Vitality or Smart, you are fine.
Do Beurer's sonic heads fit a Philips Sonicare handle?
Yes. Beurer's SC sonic heads — Classic Clean, Protection Plus, Premium Whiten and Plaque Eraser — fit all Beurer SC sonic toothbrushes and all Philips Sonicare toothbrushes except Philips One and Philips Kids. The children's Wavy Soft and Wavy Clean heads fit every Beurer sonic handle and every Philips Sonicare except the Philips One, so a Sonicare Kids is covered by those.
How often should I replace the head?
Every three months, or sooner if the bristles splay. A worn head cleans noticeably less well and is harsher on the gums.
From what age can a child use an electric toothbrush?
The SC 11 is made for ages three to six and comes with two small heads. The Wavy Soft heads are for ages three and up, the Wavy Clean heads for ages six and up.
