How To Get the Most from your Beurer Germany BM 96 Cardio
Consistent Monitoring
Measure twice daily in the morning and evening at the same times. Rest for 5 minutes beforehand. Wait 30 minutes after eating, smoking, drinking, or exercise. Avoid stress and allow 5 minutes between repeated measurements. Repeat if results seem unusual.
NB: Keep away from strong electromagnetic fields (e.g., mobile phones).
Proper Cuff Placement
Use the arm with higher BP readings - always the same arm. Fit the cuff snugly 2–3 cm above the elbow. Use the cuff position indicator to confirm correct placement. Ensure clothing does not restrict blood flow.
Correct Posture
Sit upright, back supported, feet flat. Rest your arm on a solid surface. The cuff must be at heart level. Remain still and silent during measurement.
Using the ECG Function
Hold the ECG stick with both hands or place one hand on the stick and the other on your chest. Remain relaxed and still during recording.
Important Warnings
Use the device at room temperature. The Rest Indicator (HSD) significantly increases accuracy but may have reduced reliability in users with persistent arrhythmias or some mental health conditions (E.g. chronic stress and anxiety). Not intended to replace medical diagnosis. Consult your healthcare provider if irregularities are detected. Blood pressure varies naturally – rely on regular measurements rather than a single reading. Not for use with pacemakers, metal implants, or over wounds / areas under vascular treatment, or post-mastectomy/lymph node clearance. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
