How To Get the Most from your Beurer Germany BM 27 Blood Pressure Monitor
- Consistent Monitoring
Measure twice daily in the morning and evening, at the same time each day.
Rest for 5 minutes before measuring; wait 30 minutes after eating, smoking, drinking, or exercising.
Avoid stress and allow 5 minutes between repeated measurements.
Repeat measurement if results seem off.
NB: Keep away from strong electromagnetic fields like mobile phones or radios, especially when in use
- Proper Cuff Placement
Use the arm with higher BP readings and always use the same arm.
Use the included cuff positioned 2-3 cm above the elbow, directly over the artery
Ensure tight clothing does not restrict blood flow.
- Correct Posture
Sit upright, back supported and rest your arm on a solid surface.
To obtain an accurate reading, it is essential that the cuff is at heart level.
Keep feet flat, stay still, and don't talk during measurement.
- Important Warnings
The blood pressure monitor needs to be at room temperature when measuring.
This blood pressure monitor is tested for clinical accuracy, however it may have reduced reliability in users with persistent arrhythmias or some mental health conditions (E.g. chronic stress and anxiety). Always consult your healthcare provider.
Not for use with pacemakers, metal implants, or post-mastectomy/lymph node clearance.
Do not use over wounds or where vascular treatment is ongoing.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Blood pressure varies naturally - single readings aren't enough.
