DESCRIPTION
The Beurer Germany BF 980 WIFI Diagnostic Bathroom Scale is a body weight scale with comprehensive body analysis and app connection. The scale can be connected to the free “beurer HealthManager Pro” app. After an initial set-up via Bluetooth, the data of each weighing process is automatically uploaded to the app via WIFI. Thanks to the extra-large magic display in a contemporary dot matrix look, the measurements can also be easily read directly on the personal bathroom scale. In addition to a comprehensive body analysis, in which weight, body fat, muscle percentage and BMI are measured, the body fat scale also performs a heart rate measurement. Further values are available via the app, including analysis records and graphical evaluations of metabolic age, body water, calories, BMR/AMR, and bone mineral content.

PREREQUISITES FOR TAKING MEASUREMENTS CORRECTLY
> Ensure that you weigh yourself on a smooth, flat, and stable surface, e.g., tiles or wooden flooring. The scale cannot accurately calculate your stats if you weigh on an uneven surface, such as a carpet. A hard surface is crucial for achieving accurate measurements.
> Wherever possible, weigh yourself at the same time every day (ideally in the morning), after having been to the toilet, on an empty stomach and without clothing.
> To determine your body fat and heart rate/pulse, always stand barefoot on the electrodes on the scale.
> Stand upright and still throughout, from when the weight measurement is being carried out until the heart rate measurement/pulse measurement is complete. Ensure that your weight is evenly distributed.
LIMITATIONS
> NB: Please note that diagnostic scales calculate BMI measurements within a set range of height to weight parameters. Individuals who are particularly tall with low weight, or particularly short with high weight, will not be able to use the scale's BMI function. Persons with significant anatomical abnormalities in their legs compared with their overall body height (leg length significantly shorter or longer).
> Height weight ratio does not affect the scale's weight function. Weight function is correct, up to the scale's maximum capacity.
> Inaccurate or implausible results may occur when determining body fat in children, performance athletes or people with medical/physical limitations (e.g. oedema symptoms, osteoporosis, people who are taking cardiovascular medication or medication which changes the vascular system, people with major anatomical abnormalities on the legs).
> Inaccurate or implausible results may occur when determining the heart rate if there is insufficient circulation in the legs, excessive venous stasis, vascular constriction, or extensive leg oedemas.
> PLEASE NOTE: Not suitable for users with medical implants e.g. pacemakers, or during pregnancy.
CHARGING THE SCALE
> The scale has a battery level display.
> The scale should be fully charged before initial use (approximately 3 hour charging time)
> Connect the scale to a USB power supply using the supplied USB-C cable. Recharge the battery when the battery level indicator indicates low battery.
> The scale cannot be used during charging.
