Use & Safety Notes

Allow the thermometer to adjust to the room for at least 30 minutes before use. After physical activity, bathing or spending time outdoors, wait approximately 30 minutes before measuring forehead temperature. Ensure the forehead is clean and dry, hold the thermometer 2–3 cm from the forehead and keep it still during measurement.

3. Can the FT 95 measure the temperature of food, bath water or a room?
Yes. In addition to forehead temperature, it measures room temperature and the temperature of objects, surfaces and liquids. Object temperatures can be measured from 0°C to 80°C. These readings are not stored in the thermometer's 60-reading body temperature memory.

4. Why does the thermometer display “Lo”?
When “Lo” appears alongside the °C symbol, the thermometer is ready to measure; this does not indicate low battery power. If “Lo” or “Hi” appears on its own, the measured temperature is outside the device's specified measuring range.

6. Why might a forehead reading differ from an ear or oral thermometer?
Temperature readings vary according to where and how they are measured. Forehead, ear, oral and rectal readings should not be compared directly. For consistent tracking, use the same thermometer and measurement method, and tell your healthcare professional which method you used.
