GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR BEURER HEATED BLANKET
The quickest way to heat up the heated throw is to select the highest temperature setting on the control, first. If the heated blanket is being used over several hours, we recommend that you set the lowest temperature setting on the control to avoid the body overheating and thereby any potential burns to the skin or heat stroke.
NB NOTE ON HEAT
Please note that due to strict European safety standards the blanket warms up to a very comfortable warm temperature which enhances the effect of the cosy fabric and never gets very hot. The temperature development ranges from 31 degrees Celsius on level 1, to 49 degrees Celsius on level 6 (with +/- a 3 degree C heat variable). The maximum core temperature of the product may only be reached after approximately 30-45 minutes.
The heated product will become warm and cosy, except for a few centimetres around the border. This border area is intentionally free of heating wires to prevent damage from folding and to ensure long-term safety.
NB NOTES ON MACHINE WASHING
NB Always remove the controller first.
Please note that frequent washing reduces the lifespan of the electric blanket. If necessary, it may be machine-washed once per season and no more than 5 times during its life. Small marks can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and, if needed a little liquid detergent for delicate fabrics.
If a full wash is required, remove the controller, set the washing machine to a particularly gentle cycle (lowest spin speed), at a maximum of 30 °C (wool cycle). Use a delicate detergent and dose according to the manufacturer’s instructions. After washing, reshape the product while still wet and lay it flat to dry. Do not use pegs as they may damage the wires.
Do not dry clean, wring out, tumble dry, put through a mangle, or iron the product.
Do not reconnect the control until the plug-in connector and the heated device are completely dry. Failure to do so may cause malfunction. Never switch the heated device on to dry it as there is a risk of electric shock!! The control must never get wet. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean it. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
NOTES ON USE
Use with a Pacemaker: The electrical and magnetic fields emitted by this heated device may interfere with the function of a pacemaker. However, the emissions are still well within the limits, as follows: Electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m. Magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m. Magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 mT. Before using this device, consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker to ensure it is safe for you.
Persons Unable to React to Overheating: This device must not be used by individuals who have reduced sensitivity to heat or who may be unable to react to overheating (e.g., diabetics, persons with skin conditions or alterations in the application area, individuals with scar tissue, or those under the influence of pain medication or alcohol).
Children Under 3 Years Old: This device must not be used by children under 3 years old, as they are unable to respond appropriately to overheating
