SKIN TONE, HAIR COLOUR & AREA OF INTENDED USE:
The IPL Pure Skin Pro device is intended for the removal of unwanted body hair in both women and men.
The device must only be used on the legs, armpits, bikini line, chest, stomach, back and face below the cheekbones
For facial hair removal in women, the device can only be used on facial hair below the cheek line
Please note the device is not suitable for men's facial hair removal (only suitable for facial use by women).
NB: PLEASE REFER TO THE SKIN TONE & HAIR COLOUR CHART IN THE IMAGES.
You cannot use the device on naturally dark skin.
You cannot use the device if you have particularly light, white, or grey hair
The device works best on dark hair types or on hair with a high melanin content. Black and dark brown hair shows the best response and, although brown and light brown hair will also respond to the treatment, it usually requires more hair removal sessions.
Red hair could produce a reaction.
White, grey, or blonde hair does not usually respond to the device, although some users have noticed results after multiple hair removal sessions.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
The typical hair growth cycle lasts 18 to 24 months. However, this cycle varies slightly for each individual and across different areas of the body. For example, areas like the underarms, lower legs, and bikini line may experience a longer hair growth cycle.
IPL hair removal may take several weeks or even months to show noticeable results, depending on the treated area, skin type, and individual factors.
IPL treatment targets only hairs in the active growth phase (refer to the "hair growth cycle" image). As a result, multiple IPL treatments are needed to effectively deactivate all hair follicles. To achieve the best results, it's important to follow the recommended treatment schedule for both the body and face, as outlined in the MyIPL app. While the app provides a proven treatment plan, you can also create a personalized plan that can still yield satisfactory results with the Beurer myIPL device.
Once the initial treatment plan is complete, you may continue using the Beurer IPL device as needed, until lasting results are achieved.
Keep in mind that complete hair removal may take 18 to 24 months, after which maintenance treatments will be necessary. If you notice a slowdown or halt in hair growth, you can switch to maintenance sessions. For optimal results, especially if aiming for hair-free skin by summer, it's best to continue maintenance treatments during the winter months.
Hormonal or other physiological changes can reactivate dormant hair follicles, so occasional touch-up sessions may be required.
Note: Permanent hair removal with IPL devices generally requires at least one full hair growth cycle (18-24 months).

If you are taking medication that makes the skin more sensitive to light, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (for example, aspirin, ibuprofen, paracetamol), tetracyclines, phenothiazines, thiazide diuretics, sulphonylurea, sulfonamide, DTIC, fluorouracil, Vin - Blast - Ine, Grise - Oful - Vin, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), Retin-A , Accutane and/or topical retinoids.
If you are undergoing or recently underwent treatment with azelaic acid.
If you have been on a course of steroids in the past three months.
If you have had a skin exfoliation treatment or other skin smoothing procedure in the last six to eight weeks.
If you have undergone radiation or chemotherapy in the past three months.
DO NOT USE THE DEVICE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
On mucous membranes in the nose or throat area.
On or next to an active implant, such as a pacemaker or a device for incontinence, insulin pump, etc.
On the face above the cheekbones, around the eyes, eyebrows, or eyelashes, as this could result in severe damage to the eyes.
Women should not use the device inside the margins of the bikini line (please refer to the instruction manual for details in this regard)
Men should not use the device on the scrotum
On areolae
On nose, and ears
On piercings or other metal objects, such as earrings or jewellery.
On tattoos or permanent make-up in the area to be treated.
On dark brown or black patches, such as large freckles, birthmarks, moles, blisters, or warts.
On eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds, or acute infections. Wait until the affected area has healed before using the device.
On damaged or cracked skin or in areas at risk of malignancy.
On an area of your body where you may like to have hair in the future.

If you take prescription medicine, are monitored regularly due to an illness and/or are unsure whether the device is safe for you to use, consult your doctor or dermatologist before using the device.
WARNING TO SUNBATHERS BEFORE & AFTER TREATMENT
Please note that the device should not be used for a period of time before or after sun tanning or using a sun bed. Please follow the instructions in the manual in this regard. Wait 24 hours after using a sauna/swimming pool, as the chlorine may lead to skin irritation.
INITIAL USE:
Before you can start the application, you must first complete the following:
1. Using the hair and skin colour chart (on the back page of the instructions for use and in the colour chart image in the images here), check which intensity level is suitable for you. An "x" in the table indicates that the device is not suitable for you to use.
2. Before each application, shave the body parts that you wish to treat. Do not use a hair removal cream instead of a razor.
3. Ensure that the skin areas to be treated are shaved, dry and clean (free from any residue such as powder, cream, make-up, or deodorant).
4. The IPL 8800 features a button for automatic skin tone detection - By pressing the button, you can establish the recommended energy level for your treatment on the relevant area of skin.
5. Energy level selection buttons allow you to choose between six different levels. Select the energy level according to your personal physical comfort or based on your skin sensitivity test. You can use the button for automatic skin tone detection to select the optimum energy level for each treatment area
6. If you are ready to proceed with treatment, follow the usage instructions in the instruction manual very carefully. The instructions include application methods; special instructions for facial treatments maximum use of the precision attachment (80 pulses at a time); the application cycle; and what to do after treatment.
ATTENTION: When using the device you can expect to hear a cracking noise with every pulse. You will also feel a warmth and a prickling sensation on your skin from the light energy.
