Inside, this bean-to-cup coffee machine brews two ways. Hot Brew makes the classics, from espresso to latte macchiato. Light Brew uses JURA's Light Extraction Process to brew at around 60°C, for a mild, aromatic cup that JURA compares to the fine elegance of filter coffee, ready to drink the moment it lands.

The aroma starts at the grinder. Its Professional Aroma Grinder G2 (P.A.G.2) grinds the beans the moment you choose your drink, and the variable brewing unit doses between 5 and 16 g of coffee, so a single espresso and a large mug each get exactly what they need.

For a cappuccino, slip the milk pipe into a jug or the JURA glass milk container, choose your drink and turn the switch. Fine, silky foam and freshly brewed coffee land in the glass, with no steam wand to handle and no barista training needed.

It looks the part, too. The slim E line body is finished in Dark Inox, with high-gloss front panels, chrome-plated details and a 3.5 inch colour display that changes colour between Hot Brew and Light Brew, in a design JURA calls timeless.

Questions customers ask:

How much cleaning and maintenance does it need?
The E6 does most of it for you: rinsing, cleaning and descaling programmes are built in, and the Quality Assistant guides each step. Use JURA tablets and the CLARIS Smart+ filter as instructed, because JURA's South African warranty excludes damage from other brands' tablets or a skipped filter.

Does the E6 come with a milk container?
No. It comes with a milk pipe and connector that go into any container you like. The JURA glass milk container and the Cool Control milk cooler are sold separately.

What is Light Brew, and is it weaker coffee?
Light Brew is a different style of cup, made with JURA's gentler Light Extraction Process. It tastes mild and aromatic, close to filter coffee in character. For intensity, switch to Hot Brew.

Can I use the J.O.E. app and the Coffee Timer?
Yes, with the optional Wi-Fi Connect V2, sold separately, on a 2.4 GHz home network. The J.O.E. app then adjusts your specialities from your phone, and the Coffee Timer prepares black coffee specialities up to 16 hours ahead.

Will my tallest glasses fit under the spout?
The coffee and cappuccino spouts adjust from 65 to 111 mm. Measure your tallest glass against 111 mm before you buy.
