GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR BEURER GERMANY BC 28 WRIST BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR
Please note that for the wrist blood pressure monitor to provide accurate readings, it must be used correctly.
Please read the instruction manual carefully and follow the instructions for use.
To track changes in your blood pressure reliably, measure it regularly under consistent conditions.
Ensure the device is at room temperature before measuring.
FREQUENCY & TIMING: Measure twice daily - morning after getting up and evening, always at the same time each day.
PREPARATION: Rest for 5 minutes beforehand. Avoid measuring within 30 minutes of eating, drinking, smoking, or exercising. Ensure you're physically relaxed and not under stress.
DURING MEASUREMENT: Sit still, don't talk, keep feet flat on the floor, arm supported on a flat surface. The device must be at the same level of the heart when you take the measurement.
IF REPEATING MEASUREMENTS: Wait 5 minutes between each measurement.
WRIST SELECTION: Measure on the inside of the same wrist each time, preferably the one with higher readings. Different readings between wrists is normal. Make sure that the circulation in the arm is not restricted by any clothes etc. that are too tight.
ACCURACY: Blood pressure fluctuates naturally, so one-off readings are not reliable. Only regular, consistent measurements under comparable conditions provide meaningful insight. The accuracy of this blood pressure monitor has been clinically checked (see technical specifications).
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC): This blood pressure monitor contains sensitive, precision electronic components. To ensure accurate readings and prolong its lifespan, handle it with care: Protect the device from impacts, moisture, dust, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight. Do not drop the device. Avoid using or storing the device near other electronic devices, including your cellphone, as electromagnetic fields such as those from radio systems and mobile phones may cause errors, malfunctions, or display issues.
IMPORTANT:
Blood pressure readings can differ significantly between a Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor and an Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor. While some of these discrepancies may arise from incorrect device usage, the primary cause is often related to individual differences in the anatomical structure of the arm and wrist.
Each person has a unique distribution and arrangement of veins and arteries in the wrist area. In some cases, veins and arteries may be more prominent, while in others, they may be deeper or less noticeable. As a result, the main artery in the upper arm typically provides a more accurate and reliable reading compared to the wrist.
